Wayne grew up in Springfield, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia. He did his undergraduate work at Northwestern University, received his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and his Doctorate of Ministry from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He also has certification in Church Business Administration.
Wayne's thirty-five years of ministry include calls as Assistant Pastor at The Presbyterian Church, Hagerstown , MD (3 years), Pastor of Central Presbyterian Church, Portsmouth, OH (5 years), Pastor of Poke Run Presbyte-rian Church, Apollo, PA (18 years), Associate Pastor for Administration, Vienna, VA (5 years), and Pastor of Faith Chapel - Furnace Mountain Presbyterian Church, Leesburg, VA (2 years). During his ministry, he was founding President of Kiski Valley Habitat for Humanity, served two terms as President of the Presbyterian Church Business Administrators Association, served on the board of Presbyterian Media Ministry for 15 years, and chaired the Communications and Evangelism Committees of Redstone Presbytery.
At this point in his ministry, Wayne believes that God has been leading him to seek a ministry that focuses on pastoral care and spiritual direction. The Associate Pastor for Congregational Life at First Presbyterian Church in Bradenton fits very well with Wayne's sense of his calling.
Wayne and his wife, Donna, have two children, Keith and Staci, and five grandchildren, Rochelle, Kasandra, Kody, Abbie and Madison.
Among his chief hobbies and interests are model railroading and distance running. (Donna often adds landscaping and home remodeling projects to that list.)
