What Is All The Buzz About FPC ~

"First Presbyterian Church has been my spiritual earthly home for 56 years.  It was because of the ministry of this church that I formed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  It was in this church that I made Him Lord of my life with the empowering of the Holy Spirit.  It was in this church that my daughter was married, a grandchild has been baptized and my husband's Memorial Service was held.  It was in this church that my late husband and I served for years as youth advisors.  It was also because of this church and my involvement with the Women of the Church (now known as Presbyterian Women) that I was blessed to form connections throughout these United States.  This church is my rock that continually keeps me connected with The Rock!"

"We had driven by First Pres many times during our daily routine but did not attend our first service until early 2003.  We lived out in East Bradenton, were searching for a spiritual home and visited many of the churches in that area, but kept coming back to First Pres.   Our daughter was baptized there in late 2003.  It wasn’t until the fall of 2007 that we finally realized that First Pres was exactly what we were looking for.  We like the more traditional worship services and found that most churches did not offer this.  First Pres did, and we began to regularly attend Sunday worship services there.  Our son was baptized in December 2007 by Pastor Mark and we are proud to officially call First Pres our spiritual home.  We became members in February 2008."
