First Presbyterian Church Confessing Statements

1)  We confess Christ as Lord.

2)  We proclaim His Holy Word.

3)  We nurture a growing community of faithful Christians.

Three Confessional Statements:

1)  Jesus Christ alone is Lord of all and the way of salvation.

2)  Holy Scripture is the Triune God's revealed Word, the Church's only infallible rule of faith and life.

3)  God's people are called to holiness in all aspects of life.  This includes honoring the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, the only relationship within which sexual activity is appropriate.
The Confessing Church Movement within the Presbyterian Church (USA)

To date, the sessions of 1,314 congregations in 45 states and Puerto Rico representing 435,440 members, have approved resolutions endorsing the Confessing Church Movement.

The average size of a Confessing Church in Florida is 583 members.

The confessions espoused by the Confessing Church Movement are simply stated yet sophisticated and they are the basis of Christ's church regardless of the denomination.
